Amazon is going to launch their own private products

        Amazon is now trying to launch their own private label food, cleaning products and baby goods for their Prime members. They also plan in opening new brick and mortar stores beyond their Seattle book store. There planning in opening one in San Diego.

        That's because Prime members are so profitable. They spend on average about $1,100 per year, compared to $600 per year for non-members, according to Consumer Intelligence Research Partners. There is an average of 54 million Prime members in the United States at the end of 2015, that’s 21% of the U.S. adult population.

        The brand names Amazon are going to use for its new lines are Happy Belly, Wickedly Prime, Presto and Mama Bear. Happy Belly would be the brand for nuts, spices, tea and cooking oil. Wickedly Prime will be the name for snacks, while Mama Bear would be the name for the baby food and diapers. Detergents and home goods would fall under the Presto name.
